Hybrid Solar Eclipse 11/14/2031

On November 14, 2031, a hybrid solar eclipse—a rare type of eclipse that morphs between an annular eclipse and a total eclipse—will occur in Central America. The eclipse will be annular when over land. The path of annularity will cross over Panama. The maximum duration of totality for this eclipse will be 1 minute and 8 seconds. The map below shows the path of annularity over Central America. To experience the annular, or "ring of fire," phase of the eclipse, you must be located within the path of annularity represented on the map below. Areas outside the path of totality or annularity will get a partial solar eclipse only.

In the U.S., a partial solar eclipse will occur in all or parts of Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vrginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
