Total Solar Eclipse 4/20/2042

On April 20, 2042, a total solar eclipse will occur in Asia. The path of totality will cross over Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and the Philippines. In the U.S., a partial solar eclipse will occur in all or parts of Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington on April 19. The maximum duration of totality for this eclipse will be 4 minutes and 51 seconds. The map below shows the path of totality over Asia. To experience the total phase of the eclipse, you must be located within the path of totality represented on the map below. Areas outside the path of totality will get a partial solar eclipse only.
